Filmmaker, Professor, and Screenwriter

“I WOULD RECOMMEND FOR EVERYBODY TO TAKE PROFESSOR MILLER’S CLASS. YOU WILL FIND THE PASSION FOR WRITING” – ELI ARNOLD
“When this (Between sins) drops, people are going to pay notice” – kevin scott, echo chamber

Carlos Miller teaches screenwriting and directing as a film professor, though he still considers God the greatest storyteller. A graduate of NYU’s prestigious film program, he released his debut feature, Between Sins, in 2022, an indie drama that premiered at the American Black Film Festival and later found its way onto Amazon, Tubi, and Xfinity Black. Before filmmaking, he co-founded Live Fresh Inc., a mobile shower service for the unhoused that earned national attention from People magazine and HLN’s Michaela. His next act? A novel. The Ringmaster (Winter 2025) is his literary debut, a surreal meditation on sin, spectacle, and spiritual inheritance. He enjoys studying divine architecture and borrowing from it when building stories of his own.
